What is a backlink

A backlink is when another website creates a link on there site to your website or when you create a link on your site to there there site. A backlink connects one site to another. Backlinks are one of the ranking factors used by Google to determine the rank of your site on Google search. According to Google it is the quality of the backlinks you have pointing to your site that maters. The quality of the backlink is determined by the quality of the content as well as the domain authority and page authority of the referring site. So the more backlinks you have and the better the quality of those backlinks the better your site will do.
